WICKEDNESS OR IGNORANCE: USING PARACETAMOL TO SOFTEN MEAT AND HYPO TO WHITER GARRI AND FUFU DAMAGE ORGANS
Osun State Government is to embark on sensitization and awareness campaigns against the use of Paracetamol on meat as tenderizer .
The Government has also warned against the use of Hypo in processing Cassava to get whiter garri and Fufu because of the harmful effects on some organs in the body system.
Special adviser to the Governor on Public health, Siji Olamiju who stated this while addressing Journalists in Osogbo said the Sharp practices is borne out of ignorance.
He said the practice has been discovered in four local Governments of Osogbo, Olorunda, Obokun and Oriade.
