THE EARLIER REPORTS BELOW
We are calling on the local government chairman Hon Idris Ariyo as the Chief Security Officer of the local government, the state assembly member representing Oshodi constituency 1, Hon. Akeem Shokunle, the NURTW state chairman Comrade Musiliu Akinsanya (M C Oluono) and other majoir stakeholders to quickly nip this in the bud
Information emanating from around major streets of Arowojobe, Oshodi road, Igbehin-Adun, Church street etc of Oshodi in Oshodi/isolo local government indicates that the Okada riders and Task force are on rampage at this hour of 9:05, the reason for the chaos is that the TaskForce has formed a new habit of raiding the base of the motorbike operators in the dead of the night when all must has slept off.
It is noted that the taskforce team might be using the proximity of its office to oshodi town to carry out the act as the first raid was days away at about 2:00am when the Oshodi road, Almaroof Mosque base was raided and hundreds of motorbikes were carted away.
Again at about 1:45am in the unholy hour of today, the taskforce team was alledged to have forcefully broke into No. 73, Igbehin-Adun street and carted away another hundreds of Okada without giving any reasonable points as to what led to the raid.
As at now, the Okada riders are gathering momentum for a resist and showdown with the security agency and the implications of this can better imagine in the community.
Moreso, some of the Okada riders talked with found the lackadaisical attitude of head of Okada union (MOASS or ACOMORAN) as unfavorable to them, says after paying their levies, their is no justification for belonging to the Union as they were left at the mercy of the task force all the time
We call on all the stakeholders (the local government chairman, community leaders, Union leaders) to stand up to their responsibilities before its snowball into a major crisis in the local government
