PLS DONT SELL MY CAR!!! OWNER & DANFO DRIVERS BEG, AS LASTMA SET TO SELL 108 VEHICLES TOMORROW
- The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) has set tomorrow 3rd 4th Dec., to sell in auctions to general public all vehicles abandoned to it after obtained a court order authorising it to auction 108 court forfeited vehicles to general public.
Chairman of the agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the vehicles to be auctioned by the government include 86 court forfeited and 22 abandoned vehicles after they had been impounded by the enforcement team of the agency in different parts of the State for driving against traffic (one-way) and committing other traffic offences.
Egbeyemi also stated that the public auction is scheduled to hold at the agency’s car park, Ikorodu,, after the expiration of the 30 days public notice issued by the agency in line with the dictates of the law to all owners of the 22 abandoned vehicles to claim them that the government obtained the court order to auctioned them to interested members of the public”
On getting hold of the news, owners and some danfo drivers, precisely one Mr. Afijo, whose bus had been impounded for weeks rushed down to Oshodi TaskForce office with his fine couldn’t get help as the activities is not in Oshodi but Ikorodu
One of the car owners say he was actually sorting for who will help him to bit down the fine that made his vehicle stayed longer.
